Postdoc in Insect Engineering at the University of Minnesota

The Smanski Lab at the University of Minnesota is seeking a postdoctoral associate with a focus in Synthetic Biology and Insect Genome Engineering. We have two positions available, and the successful applicants will develop novel genetic biocontrol strategies. Specifically, our lab is interested in applying new molecular tools for programming gene expression and base-editing insect genomes. Applicants should have a PhD in entomology, molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related field. Experience working with insects is preferred. The start date for this position is negotiable but can be as early as August 1, 2018. The position will be for one year terms that are renewed annually based on performance.
