Areas of Expertise:
Insect biochemistry and molecular biology

Research Organisms:
Pectinophora gossypiella and other Lepidoptera; Lygus hesperus; Bemisia tabaci

Research Focus:

Our group leverages fundamental knowledge of insect genetics, genomics, molecular biology, biochemistry, and physiology to develop novel pest management strategies and preserve or improve existing management technologies. Current research projects focus on deciphering the molecular genetics and biochemical mechanisms of resistance to Bacillus thuringiensis (Bt) crops and understanding the roles of genes involved in protecting insects during abiotic and/or biotic stress responses.
