Approximately six positions are available, or will soon become available, across several grades from technician to senior postdoc. These positions are in Prof Luke Alphey’s research group, to work on various aspects applied mosquito genetic engineering. One postdoc/graduate position is available now (see http://www.pirbright.ac.uk/jobs) as part of a team developing underdominance-based gene drive systems. Four additional positions are expected to be available to start in July, and up to two more with less defined start dates, to work on other gene drive systems and on engineered reduced vector competence, for example. All these positions will be advertised on the Pirbright site above and elsewhere, but informal enquiries to Prof Alphey are welcome at any time (email@example.com).
