A graduate assistantship for a MS or PhD candidate is available in the Agriculture, Nutrition and Veterinary Sciences Department at the University of Nevada Reno. The successful applicant will conduct mosquito odorant receptor research including bioinformatics analyses, receptor expression and electrophysiology analyses in Drosophila, and perform germline transformations of mosquito embryos. Experience with bioinformatics programming is preferred. This competitive assistantship will cover tuition, stipend, and health insurance.
